Thanksgiving Weekend in Parrsboro

Hi - a number of members have asked me about details for the Thanksgiving Weekend in Parrsboro - here's the deets.

We'll be offering rides on all three days.  Saturday will be a moderate distance ride starting around noontime.  Sunday will be the Parrsboro-Advocate-Joggins Century, 100 miles.  And Monday will be another shorter ride to allow time to have a leisurely drive home.  On Sunday there will be a shorter ride option available for those who don't want to go the full 160km.

We'd like to invite spouses and significant others on the ride too, there are ample things to do in the Parrsboro area each day, like visiting the Age of Sail Museum in Port Greville; the Joggins Fossil Museum and sea cliffs; the Ottawa House Museum and its wonderful beach; and the Geology Museum in Parrsboro.

I would recommend making your reservations now, if you plan to go.  I would suggest the Gillespie House B&B as our center of operations, you can reserve online at http://gillespiehouseinn.com/ or call them directly.  Marion and I are already reserved, and there are several rooms available at off-season rates.  Or stay at any of the other places around town.

Looking forward to a wonderful autumn long weekend!
