ride on Saturday May 23

Hi all - congrats to the ten riders who completed the 200k brevet last Saturday - I hear there are some epic stories to be told!

Well, if that wasn't far enough for you... let the silly season begin!

This weekend we have our first 300k brevet, which is entitled, "Wittenburg - Vaughan".

This ride will assemble at Graham's Grove in Dartmouth Saturday morning to depart bright and early at 6AM.

The link to the route is - again, be sure to print off a cue sheet to bring with you - more important than ever.

Our route will take us out to Musquodoboit Harbour and up the Musquodoboit valley to Wittenburg - then to Brookfield and Kennetcook and Brooklyn - then off to Chester and back on on Route 3.

As this is a brevet ride, adequate lights and reflective clothing are required, those who don't have them will be denied a brevet card and will be laughed at behind their backs.  Bring 'em.

Please let me know by suppertime Friday if you plan to attend so that I can prepare you a brevet card.

If you don't feel up to 300k, but would still like to come out for a ride - there are options for you too.  We have a shorter option, which is for 157km, you'll be home in plenty of time to mow the cat and brush the lawn.  Ride with the group to Musq Hbr and Wittenburg then head for home from Stewiacke on Route 2.

Looking forward to seeing most of those happy faces from last Saturday...
