Hi all - ok, time for the big one - our longest single day brevet of the year.

This ride is entitled, "Moose River - Trafalgar".  It will assemble to depart at Midnight Friday night.

We'll head out the Eastern Shore to Musquodoboit Harbour, then Middle Musquodoboit, then up the 224 to the turnoff to Moose River and the site of the Moose River Mining disaster, a seminal turning point in Canadian radio history.  The Mooseland Road comes out on the Eastern Shore near Sheet Harbour.  We'll then head north through Trafalgar to Westville, Mount Thom, Truro, and back to Halifax.

Link to the route is

Anyone who is interested in doing a night ride with us, then turning back to the city via Porters Lake is welcome to join us.  This would be a 175km option.  It would be a good opportunity to experience the delights of riding through the midnight hours and that fantastic experience of hearing the first birdsong of the day and seeing the first loom of the impending sunrise.  I have extra lights if someone's interested in this.

If you plan to ride the brevet, please let me know by Friday morning so that I can prepare brevet cards for you.
