Ride on Saturday April 11th

Hi all - the (current) weather forecast's looking good for a ride on Saturday April 11th.

Our club ride on Saturday is entitled, "Gay's River - Stewiacke". This ride will assemble at the parking lot of the Sobey's mall at Exit 8 off Highway 102 in Elmsdale. We'll meet at the Tim Horton's for a coffee before a 10AM departure. Please park vehicles away from the Sobey's, near the guardrail, don't park in the Tim's parking lot as this is a very busy spot.

The link to our route is Please print the cue sheet for the route and bring it with you, or upload into a GPS if you have one.

Out in the countryside, the wing plows of the snowplows push the snowbanks well back from the pavement edge into the ditches, so the late spring shouldn't be an issue. There will likely be some runoff from melting snow, so wear your waterproof booties.

We'll head out through Gay's River to Coldstream and West St Andrews, and then on to Stewiacke, where we'll stop for a warm-up stop and coffee/lunch at the Stewiacke Tim Horton's, before heading south to Shubenacadie and Hardwood Lands to Nine Mile River and the quiet back road into Enfield then back to the start location.

Hope to see a good crowd out this Saturday. Pace will be moderate, with frequent regrouping stops.
