300k brevet on Saturday May 21st

posted May 17, 2016, 4:45 PM by Mark Beaver
Hi folks - congratulations to the ten successful finishers of the 200k last weekend - who set out in the face of a forecasted morning of rain, and who did persevere thru an hour of rain to Berwick, then were awarded sunny skies, warm temperatures, and tailwinds for the second half of the ride!

The forecast for this Saturday is much more favourable.  So I'm pleased to announce details of our 300km brevet, entitled, "Sheet Harbour - Brookfield 300".

Link to the ride is  The four-fold cue sheet is attached.

This ride will assemble bright and early at Graham's Grove in Dartmouth to depart at 06:00.  Remember, bright lights and reflective vest are required equipment.

We'll head out the #7 to Musquodoboit Harbour and Sheet Harbour, then head north to Upper Stewiacke and west to Maitland.  Then we'll jog south through MacPhee's Corner and Enfield to Dartmouth again.

All those who plan to attend (who have not already let me know) are requested to notify me by email by Friday afternoon so that I can prepare brevet cards for you.

For those who wish to accompany the riders for the first part of the ride, you can ride:

following the 300k riders through Musquodoboit Harbour to Ship Harbour, then looping off around the scenic Clam Harbour loop and back to Dartmouth via Lawrencetown Beach.

Looks like we're going to have a great ride on Saturday!
