200km brevet on Saturday Sept 26th

posted Sep 21, 2015, 4:19 PM by Mark Beaver

This Saturday we have two rides on the schedule; there are two options: a 200km "brevet" ride and a 130km shorter alternate. This is our final brevet of the year.

The 200k will meet at the carpool parking lot at Mount Uniacke, just across the street from the Irving station at Exit 3 off Highway 101. Scheduled departure time is 8AM.

This group will ride up to Windsor, where we will meet up with the riders doing the 130km option. This shorter ride starts at the Windsor Waterfront Tim's parking lot in downtown Windsor. Please park vehicles away to the further end of the gravel parking lot so as not to obstruct valuable parking spots all day. Departing around 10AM.

We'll ride to Bog Road and Hantsport, then up Bishopville Road to Greenfield Road then on to the beautiful Gaspereau Valley and across the Valley to Canning, and an ice cream stop at the Lookoff. We'll return to Wolfville via Kingsport and Starr's Point, then follow Bluff Road from Avonport and Hantsport back to Windsor, thence onward to Mount Uniacke via the Bread Gallery at Brooklyn.

As the 200km ride is a brevet ride, I would like to be informed of your intention to participate by Friday Sept 25th in order to prepare you a brevet card. If you wish to earn a commemorative medal for your brevet, bring along $15.
