Randonneurs Nova Scotia is pleased to announce the route of our 1000km brevet for the 2014 season:

We'll head up Nova Scotia's scenic Eastern Shore to Guysborough then cross the Canso Causeway into Cape Breton. Overnight stop at Inverness at the 420km point, the head north to ride the famous Cabot Trail, with its mountains rising straight out of the sea. Then south along the inland sea of the Bras d'Or Lakes to Orangedale to Port Hawkesbury for the second overnight stop, at the 775km point. Then across the Causeway again and following the shoreline of the Gulf of St Lawrence to Antigonish then west to Truro and south to the finish near Halifax.

There will be bag drops at both motels, otherwise self sufficient riding with minimal support. We'd love to welcome of our fellow randonneurs from around North America to join us. Saturday July 5th to Monday July 7th.
